It all started with the vision of one man, Paul Bardinet. In 1857, a young liqueur maker from France took an interest in the sugar cane alcohol imported into old world ports from faraway islands. Keen on this fascinating spirit, Paul Bardinet set out to explore the West Indian islands to learn the craftmanship and technique of rum making and become a true expert.

From that moment on, Paul Bardinet’s destiny laid in the Caribbean spirit. After much blending and tasting, he achieved the formula of his Caribbean rum : Negrita.

For more than a century, Negrita has built its reputation on unchallenged know-how in the art of blending the finest rums coming from the best locations in the Caribbean, and selected by our Master Blender for their unique and exquisite flavours.
